As a developing paintball league in Singapore and Asia, the SPS is ever changing to adopt the best practices in the paintball industry. Since establishment, several paintball development initiatives have been introduced to maintain healthy competition amongst participating teams. The Rookie Challenge series organized by Red Dynasty Paintball Park and endorsed by the SPS is one of the many initiatives to provide a progressive platform for new participants and maintain competitive balance for newly formed teams. The restriction of players’ eligibility which is limited to players residing in Singapore was to allow Singapore-based teams to improve and progress in strength, skills and experience through local competitions. With up to 4 playing Divisions (Open, Novice, Corporate and Tertiary), the SPS provides a selection of competitive levels for teams and individuals.

From 2011 onwards, the SPS would like to take a progressive step to introduce a new promotion system for teams participating in the Novice Division. This promotion initiative aims to preserve competitive balance in the Novice Division with the inclusion of new participating teams every year. Novice Division teams which have won podium finishes of the 1st and 2nd positions in each SPS leg will be recommended for divisional promotion to the Open Division in the following year. The promotion criteria is not limited to teams which meet the promotion requirements but also to volunteering teams which are ready to participate in the Open Division.
As the SPS continues to progress in the playing standards and infrastructure, we welcome all feedback and suggestions from SPS-registered teams and players.

Leg 1 Champion: Team Alpha
Leg 1 2nd: Team Bravo
Leg 1 3rd: Team Charlie
Leg 1 4th: Team Delta
Leg 2 Champion: Team Bravo
Leg 2 2nd: Team Falcon
Leg 2 3rd: Team Echo
Leg 2 4th: Team Alpha

In 2012, Team Alpha, Bravo and Falcon will be recommended for promotion into the Open Division having won either the Champion and/or 2nd position. Team Delta, Charlie and Echo can choose to continue participating in the Novice Division or to voluntarily be promoted to the Open Division in 2012. All other participating teams in the Novice Division which are not on the podium may also promote themselves voluntarily to the Open Division in the following year.
